SBA Disaster Assistance in Response to the Coronavirus

The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Upon a request received from a state’s or territory’s Governor, SBA will issue under its own authority, as provided by the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act that was recently signed by the President, an Economic Injury Disaster Loan declaration.

Gilbert’s Community Days

May 28th thru 31st 2020

Community Days is held at Town Square Park at 195 Jackson St. in Gilberts, IL

Gilberts Community Days is a 3 day FREE music festival with some of the area’s best bands performing for your entertainment. The festival includes a Kid’s Zone with FREE crafts sponsored by the Taylor Family YMCA, a FREE petting zoo and FREE projects sponsored by Home Depot. There are food vendors with delicious offerings, and your thirst can be quenched with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Fantasy Amusements will be at the fest for 4 days this year with some of their most popular carnival rides Thursday through Sunday! For car lovers we offer a car show on Sunday. Bring your own classic car, or just enjoy the cars on display. To drink alcohol, you will need to present a government issued I.D. and purchase a $2 wrist band.

 Free parking is available around downtown Gilberts within walking distance of the event.

Depot Market ~ Village of East Dundee

The Depot Market is held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday mid May through October. We typically get around 40 vendors each week selling veggies (in season), honey, flowers, and bedding plants, plus soaps, antiques, and collectibles. New market vendors are always welcome! VFW Memorial Day Parade & Program

Sunday, May 24th 2020

2:00PM – 3:00PM at Main Street, ending at Grafelman Park

The annual Memorial Day Parade and Program is organized by the Tri-Cities VFW Post 2298 in West Dundee.

The parade steps off at Van Buren Street in East Dundee at 2:00 pm and progresses westward to Grafelman Park in West Dundee.

A program remembering fallen service men and women will follow in the gazebo at Grafelman Park.
