Press Release

Dundee Township Young Professionals

To provide networking opportunities and connect diverse young professionals in the area, the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce invites young professionals to attend the Dundee Township Young Professionals (DTYP) at one of its regular bi-monthly meetings.

Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

All young professionals are invited to attend. Locations change for each meeting and updated information is available on the group’s

Facebook and Instagram pages at Dundee Township Young Professionals.

Spearheading the organization are two Chamber members, Dianna Robinson of Spa Bleu in West Dundee and Jacquelyn Marie Hastings.

“I was able to attend the group from its first gathering a few years ago,” said Robinson, “and I always felt welcomed. The group always attracts new people and I love the chance to network, learn about local businesses, and have the opportunity to spotlight others, too.”

Hastings finds the group a great place to interact with other young professionals and entrepreneurs. “Our goal is to get people out from behind their electronic devices and interact,” she said. “We have a generation who is highly skilled online and on the computer, but not necessarily in person. This group gets you talking by learning to get comfortable networking.”

The chamber is pleased to support the DTYP and help it grow. “The young professionals in our community are a diverse group and the Dundee Township Young Professionals gives them a chance to strengthen and develop their skills, while having fun, too,” added Melissa Hernandez, chamber president.

The Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for business interests by identifying and following the needs of the business community through leadership, education, development, support and promotion. It represents the communities of Carpentersville, East Dundee, Gilberts, Sleepy Hollow, and West Dundee.
