Carpentersville Police Department Polar Plunge 2023

Our plunge site was “noticed” to say the least, after last year’s event with right around $10,000 raised for the Illinois Special Olympics.

There are a few police departments / fire departments that have already asked to plunge at our site this year too.

Details about this year’s event:

Date: March 4, 2023

Time: 10am – 12pm (Plunge at 12pm)

Location: 1075 Tamarac Drive, Carpentersville IL 60110

The theme is…*drumroll please*……Dress as your favorite SUPERHERO

Below is the link to sign up for the “Village of Carpentersville” team.

https://soill.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.team&teamID=13433

Click on “JOIN OUR TEAM” and fill out the form.  Make sure to include your sweatshirt size to receive one from Special Olympics Illinois.

Some more details…because I am all about everyone knowing the plan:

We support Illinois Special Olympics by having each plunger raising a minimum of $100.  On March 4, 2023 everyone (plungers, plungers families, the press, supporters…everyone) meets at Cville public works.  The plungers will take the plunge at 12pm in a controlled environment (East Dundee FD’s training tank) which is no more than 4 feet deep.  (If you cannot swim, no worries, we got you!)  There are changing areas for the plungers to use.  Depending on the weather, those who are there to watch the plunge will be in a warming area right inside the public works building.  Last year we had snacks and drinks, which we plan on doing again.  Starbucks will be giving away free coffee at the event to show their support as well.  This is going to be a huge community event that we hope will keep getting bigger each year.
