Summary
The Construction Technician is responsible for providing construction services as required on small construction projects. Although they are not responsible for producing large jobs, depending on their skill set, they may perform some or all of the following: rough and finish carpentry, drywall, paint, prefinished hardwood, and laminate flooring. Additional skill set assets would include: tile, carpet, roofing, plumbing, electrical, and hvac. They are responsible for delivering a high quality of construction and service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in managing construction services. In addition, they may be called upon to assist managing larger projects with a Superintendent, i.e. making calls to subcontractors and performing quality control.

Gilberts Community Days is the Village’s annual festival to bring residents, visitors, and businesses together in a weekend long celebration of community and fun!

West Dundee Heritage Fest will be held on September 17-18, 2022. This festival will feature an antique show, a vintage car show, entertainment, a Friday night fireworks display, great food and childrens activities. There will be about 90 artisans showcasing their wares in a variety of media, including jewelry, floral, fabric sculpture, paper crafts, apparel, stained glass, soap, tie-dye and baby items, primitive wood, soup and dip mixes, metal art, honey products, and much more. West Dundee River Challenge
As we round the corner into March, our thoughts turn to sunshine, warm weather, outdoor activities and cycling events! Our West Dundee River Challenge committee wishes you a happy spring. Last year you were part of something exciting here in West Dundee as we transformed an all-day cycling series into a premier community event complete with music, food, family events and more.
The Intelligentsia Cup is planning for 10 days of racing for both pro and amateur cyclists this summer and the West Dundee River Challenge again has the coveted opening day – July 22, 2022.
The ‘leg breaker’ finish of the West Dundee River Challenge presented by AMITA Health St. Alexius Medical Center returns for a fifth year!
With a population of 7,331, West Dundee has managed to keep its quaintness and small-town feeling intact. Designated historical sites fill the downtown and surrounding residential neighborhood. Restored buildings include structures reported to have provided refuge for slaves on the Underground Railroad. As part of the upper Fox River Valley in northern Illinois, West Dundee enjoys one of the region’s most unique and treasured assets, the Fox River greenway. The Fox River serves as the Village’s eastern border and is quickly becoming one of the community’s finest recreational areas.

BARC is a non-compete, referral-based networking group. We make incredible connections, while building solid relationships.
Meeting Time: Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Location: Chamber Office
Investment: $50 annually. BARC members are also members of the Northern Kane County Chamber.
Expectations:
Consumers and businesses alike prefer to do business with someone they know, like and trust.
